New Footbridge @ North Willingham
1) What did the new footbridge on the public footpath between North Willingham & Tealby cost?
2) What led LCC to opt for the type of bridge installed?
3) What is the estimated usage on that footpath p.a.? - Decision
-
1) The bridge cost £13,215.76
2) Lincolnshire County Council use steel and FRP (Fibreglass Reinforced Plastic) for durability reasons. Although slightly more expensive on the initial outlay cost, over the whole life cost they work out cheaper with far less interim maintenance requirements. If LCC use timber elements, they are prone to rotting and decay and require replacing every 15-20 years depending on the environment at where they are located.
3) Lincolnshire County Council (LCC) does not hold this information.
