Speed Cameras at North Willingham - Find a freedom of information request

Request

1. I would like to know why North Willingham has two speed cameras at each end of the village while Ludford only three miles away, with at least five times the amount of houses facing the A631 has none.

Decision

1. In 2017/2018, Lincolnshire County Council bid for Department for Transport Safer Roads funding to reduce the number of collisions on the A631 between Louth and Middle Rasen.

The bid contained a wide range of potential measures including an average speed camera system from the west of Ludford to the east of Middle Rasen.

This section was selected as it contained fatal and serious injury collisions. The number of properties was not a relevant factor in the decision-making process.

Further information on the bid can be found attached.
