Lincolnshire County Council's deficit on the SEND budget - Find a freedom of information request

1. I would like to know what the Lincolnshire CC's deficit on the SEND budget currently is, both cumulatively and for the last complete 5 financial years please.

2. Has the Government agreed to underwrite any over spend on this budget heading?

I can confirm that the information requested is held by Lincolnshire County Council. I have detailed below the information that is being released to you.

1. At March 2024, Lincolnshire County Council is not in a financial deficit position on its Dedicated Schools Grant, which includes the High Needs block. Lincolnshire is however forecasting a £10m overspend in 2024/25 on High Needs spending against the Government’s 2024/25 allocation, which is planned to be met from the Dedicated Schools Grant reserve.
