Little Explorers 0 to 5 years

A sensory play session encouraging children to explore a range of messy play activities such as water, sand, crafts, gloop and play dough.

Breast start from pregnancy and breastfeeding

Come and join us in a relaxed, friendly environment, chat and meet other breastfeeding mums and get some support and advice. A member of the health visiting team supports the group.

Tuesdays

Moving On Up! 0 to 5 years

This session offers a range of fun activities to support children developing their independence and social skills through play.

Wednesdays

Portage Drop-in Group - invitation only

Portage Drop-In Group is a stay and play open access opportunity for Portage families only, who are currently receiving or have previously received support through the Early Learning and Portage Support Service. The group is run by Portage Practitioners, and families can access the group up until the term before their child starts school. The Drop-In Group provides an opportunity for families with SEND children to meet and share experiences and also receive information and signposting to other  services where appropriate.

Stay and Play under 1s

Sessions will offer activities to encourage babies to grow and learn through treasure baskets, messy play, singing and sharing stories.

Thursdays

Pop in and Play 0 to 5 years

An opportunity for babies and children to pop in with their parents and carers to use the resources in the early years room in the centre. All we ask is that families clean and tidy the resources after use and the space is a safe and happy environment for all to enjoy.

Learning Together Babies under 1s - starting 31 October

The session features a ‘Talk Time’ to show how the little things parents do make a big difference to their babies’ learning, together with a range of activities such as treasure baskets, messy play, singing songs and sharing books.

Baby Massage - starting 1 November

This five-week course offers a chance for you and your baby to spend precious time bonding through massage whilst meeting other parents with babies to form friendships.

Drop into any children’s centre to access the range of borrow bags. These include sensory bags, stories bags, treasure baskets and much more.


Free online sessions for parents and carer

Connect with other parents and carers via Zoom and learn about topics relevant to families and children aged 0 to 5. Share ideas in how to support children’s early education and each other. Visit the Family Corner website.

The courses provide support through all stages of bringing up children, from pregnancy and birth to caring for toddlers up to teenagers. They include specific courses for teenagers, and for parents and carers of children with additional needs. Parents’ courses can be accessed via the Solihull approach website.
