1. Can you tell me how many trees the council has ordered to be removed in the last 10 years?
2. And how many have been replanted in that period?
3. Can you specify how many trees were cut down because they faced insurance claims?
4. Can you specify how many trees were cut down to allow the construction of housing developments? If providing stats going back 10 years is not possible can you provide stats for tree felling for the past 5 or 3 years? - Decision

1,3. Lincolnshire County Council do not hold the information requested. Whilst trees may be removed as a result of an insurance claim, LCC would not be able to confirm whether the trees have in fact been removed, as legal services would not be a party to that action.
Any claims relating to trees are not identifiable from the system, as they are opened the same way as all other insurance claims.
LCC’s current insurances files exceed 10,000 in number. In order ascertain which ones relate to tree claims, we would need to go through every file. This would take in excess of 18 hours. Even if we could identify the files, legal services would not necessarily know from the file whether a tree had been removed or not.
2. LCC have planted 1152 replacement trees in the last 10 years
4. The County Council does not undertake housing developments. Planning Permission, inclusive of elements concerning tree planting / retention / removal, will be dealt with the District, City or Borough Council
