Councillors allowances For the financial year 2023/2024 and 2024/2025 - Find a freedom of information request

For the financial year 2023/2024 please advise the cost for the following and for 2024/2025 the estimated cost for the following:

a) The total cost of basic allowances paid to Councillors;

b) The total cost of Special Responsibility Allowances paid to Councillors'

c) The total cost of Travel and Subsistence allowances paid to Councillors;

Please provide the sums paid for 2023/2024 and 2024/2025 the sums paid for:

a) The amount of Special Responsibility Allowance paid to the Leader of the Council;

b) The amount paid to all Councillors as a Basic Allowance; Also for 2023/2024 and 2024/2025, the number of Councillors in receipt of a Special Responsibility Allowance;

All the information requested is available within the Member Allowances dataset which should be published in the next week or so on the Council's website. It currently sits with finance to sign off the most recent calculations.
