The Lincolnshire County Council scheme is called the Community Crossings initiative.
New or improved pedestrian new or improved pedestrian crossing facilities are being planned for:
* Newbridge Hill in Louth
* B1174 High Street in Great Gonerby
* A16 Main Road in Stickney
* A52 Swineshead Road in Boston (downtown near Alban Retail Park)
* A52 Barrowby Road in Grantham (south of Poplar Farm)
* A52 Barrowby Road in Grantham (near Greenhill Road)
* A15 in Thurlby (south of High Street)
* Lincoln Road in Skellingthorpe
* A1500 Tillbridge Lane in Sturton by Stow (adjacent to B1241)
* High Street in Blyton (near the primary school)
* B1397 London Road in Wyberton
* Spalding Road in Holbeach
1. It's been announced that £3.8million has been allocated for the 'improvement of 10 pedestrian crossings.' As a budget has been allocated can you please supply full details of costings on work required for each of the 10.

Further to the forecast costs, I can provide you with a summary of what the fees, works and risk costs comprise below for each project – these costs are similar for each project:
Fees
The fees include:
- Design fees of our design consultant who has completed Feasibility reports and detailed design for the traffic signals and civils required for the work;
- Supervision fees for the works during construction;
- Project management fees of the design and supervision stages of the project;
Works
The costs cover:
- Surveys required for the design of the crossings: topographical surveys; Ground Penetration Radar survey and trial holes to review what services lie in the ground ahead of construction;
- Civils construction costs for the removal of the old road surface and installation of new road surfacing at the pedestrian crossing;
- Traffic signals construction costs for removal of the old signals equipment and installation of a new pedestrian crossing equipment.
Risk
The risk costs cover: inflation costs, discovering unknown services that were not shown on our records and bad weather events and impact on construction works.

I cannot provide a detailed breakdown of items further e.g. construction costs from the contractor and designers as this information is commercially sensitive.
