Drop-in for parents and carers to chat with a speech and language assistant where they may have concerns about their child’s speech and language development

Paediatric first aid course - 2 July only

Adult only - non-mobile babies welcome.  Learn life skills focusing on CPR, choking and other child emergencies

Breast start from pregnancy and breastfeeding

Come and join us in a relaxed, friendly environment, chat and meet other breastfeeding mums and get some support and advice. A member of the health visiting team supports the group.

OWL babies under 1s

OWL babies - outdoor while learning. Sessions will include discussions around the benefits of being outside, sensory play activities, exploring nature, singing and sharing books.

Little explorers 0 to 5 years

A sensory play session encouraging children to explore a range of messy play activities such as water, sand, crafts, gloop and play dough.

Thursdays

Learning together toddlers 1 to 5 years - Starting 6 June

A programme of sessions featuring a talk time to show how the little things a parent does make a difference to their baby’s learning, together with a range of activities such as treasure baskets, messy play, singing songs and sharing books.

Solihull Antenatal Education Programme, group for parents - starting 7 June

The Solihull Antenatal Education Programme is intended for parents to be, and their birthing partner. This is a six-week programme designed to provide you with information around parent and baby relationships, labour and birth, breast feeding and caring for you baby. If you are 28 weeks pregnant or over and would like to attend this funded programme, please register using the link below.

Incredible Years Baby (babies 0 to 6 months) - starting 7 June

An 8-week programme to help you with learning new parenting skills to support your baby's learning, development, and future behaviours. Learn about the importance of play in the earlier months and how you can build upon this into your child's toddler years. Please email the children’s centre to book.

Top tips for babies 3 to 4 months - 21 June only

This session shares top tips from introducing solids, oral health, accident prevention and age-appropriate development.  It’s a great opportunity to meet new families and find out what local services are available for your family.

Drop into any children’s centre to access the range of borrow bags. These include sensory bags, stories bags, treasure baskets and much more.


Free online sessions for parents and carer

Connect with other parents and carers via Zoom and learn about topics relevant to families and children aged 0 to 5. Share ideas in how to support children’s early education and each other. Visit the Family Corner website.

Solihull approach - free online courses for parents, grandparents, teens and carers

The courses provide support through all stages of bringing up children, from pregnancy and birth to caring for toddlers up to teenagers.
