Pop in and play 0 to 5 years

An opportunity for babies and children to pop in with their parents and carers to use the resources in the early years room in the centre. All we ask is that families clean and tidy the resources after use and the space is a safe and happy environment for all to enjoy.

Early voices under 1s 

Babies are born ready to communicate. This session will support these developing skills through songs and rhymes.

Time: 1pm
Duration: 45 minutes

Wednesdays

Learning together babies under 1s - starting on 5 June

A programme of sessions featuring a talk time to show how the little things a parent does make a difference to their baby’s learning, together with a range of activities such as treasure baskets, messy play, singing songs and sharing books.

This session offers a range of fun activities to support children developing their independence and social skills through play.

Rhyme Time - held at Gainsborough library

It's never too early to get their imaginations going and develop listening skills. Find weekly story time sessions for children aged birth to three.

Sessions will offer activities to encourage babies to grow and learn through treasure baskets, messy play, singing and sharing stories.

Free session for children aged birth to three years. Held at and faclitated by Gainsborough Library.

Drop into any children’s centre to access the range of borrow bags. These include sensory bags, stories bags, treasure baskets and much more.


Free online sessions for parents and carer

Connect with other parents and carers via Zoom and learn about topics relevant to families and children aged 0 to 5. Share ideas in how to support children’s early education and each other. Visit the Family Corner website.

Solihull approach - free online courses for parents, grandparents, teens and carers

The courses provide support through all stages of bringing up children, from pregnancy and birth to caring for toddlers up to teenagers. They include specific courses for teenagers, and for parents and carers of children with additional needs. Parents’ courses can be accessed via the Solihull approach website.
