** The information provided is purely the pothole numbers we have defined individual completion data for, on a defect by defect basis. Some potholes will be repaired via other workstreams on a time charge or planned scheme basis, where material quantities but not individual pothole numbers are recorded and thus we do not hold that information for release under FOI

The estimated volume of potholes delivered via these alternative treatments and the FOI data shared within this response mean that Lincolnshire County Council in total treat approximately 110,000 potholes per annum.

In April 2020, Lincolnshire County Council (LCC) entered into a new Highways contract and in doing so, changed the way in which jobs, including pothole jobs was recorded. Prior to April 2020, jobs were not issued on a job per pothole basis and therefore, there is no way to provide how many pothole jobs were completed from this timeframe. E.g., One pothole job may have been for one pothole, ten potholes, or 100 potholes. Since the beginning of the new contract, we have been recording each pothole as an individual job and therefore, we have been able to provide the requested information from April 2020 only.

Please also note, the data attached shows some timescales slightly shorter than stated in the Highways Infrastructure Asset Management Plan (HIAMP - See below link), for example, ‘24 hour’ in the HIAMP, is ‘22 hour’ internally, to allow for the additional time required to raise the job after being made aware of it.
