A portrait of the king - Find a freedom of information request

Request

1. Can you tell me if the council has requested a portrait of the king from the government, as described here: https://www.gov.uk/government/news/new-official-portrait-of-king-charles-iii-released-for-public-authorities

If so, can you provide any or all of the following:

a) Where the portrait will be placed and whether it will be possible for the public to see it.

b) Any cost associated with installing the portrait.

c) Any documentation that came with the delivery of the portrait.

d) Communications to and from council officers, councillors and government officials relating to the request and acquisition of the portrait.

Decision

I can confirm that the information requested is held by Lincolnshire County Council. I have detailed below the information that is being released to you.

1. LCC ordered a free copy of the portrait in November as soon as we received the alert from the DLUHC.

a) It is anticipated that the portrait will be placed over the fireplace in the Members' Foyer in County Offices, Lincoln, which has housed the portrait of The Queen for many years. Members of the public would be able to see it once they have accessed the building.

b) LCC anticipate no cost installing the portrait

c) The portrait has not yet been received

d) LCC received the alert from DLUHC saying we are eligible for a free portrait, so we applied. All internal communications have been informal.
