LD (Learning disability) supported living accommodation - Find a freedom of information request

I can confirm that the information requested is held by Lincolnshire County Council. I have detailed below the information that is being released to you.

1. It is important to note that in Lincolnshire we do not use the phrase ‘bed blocking’ as the language is felt to be disrespectful to Lincolnshire residents.

LCC are unable to provide a definitive answer to this question given the many reasons why a resident would or would not be deemed as discharge ready. Given the many variables it would take a significant amount of time (above 18 hours- under section 12 (1) of the FOI Act) to evaluate every case to be assured that the answers provided are accurate and in line with the nature of the request.

Section 12(1) of the Freedom of Information 2000 does not oblige a public authority to comply with a request for information if the authority estimates that the cost of complying with the request would exceed the appropriate limit. The appropriate limit is currently £450 or 18 hours at a cost of £25 per hour. The exemption under section 12 is not subject to the public interest test Any refined request will be treated as a new request under the Freedom of Information Act.
