Decision

1. Financial year Translation & interpreting expenditure % of total expenditure:

2020/2021: £60,760.27

2021/2022: £145,511.24

2022/2023: £317, 801.49

The figures do show an incremental increase over the three years as usage of language and interpretation services have increased over time due to a number of external factors, like Covid, Brexit and others. There have also been more people coming into Lincolnshire from abroad through schemes like Homes for Ukraine etc. Languages and Interpretations services, whether through the corporate contract or other suppliers, can be accessed by all individual service areas, based on the requirements of their projects or roles in communicating important information to people who don’t have English as their primary language.
