It’s important for senior councillors to be present at some of the major annual conferences like the LGA Conference (where local authorities are represented), to speak for Lincolnshire and have some influence on proceedings.

The majority of conferences/courses are held in Lincolnshire with limited travel requirement and requiring senior councillors to be present for county or regional perspectives. Some courses/training sessions are virtual. In all cases these meetings are an important part of cabinet/portfolio holders’ areas of work and influence in support of Lincolnshire and its residents
