I was wondering if you could please supply me with the following information related to the English National Concessionary Travel Scheme aka 'Bus Passes'.

1. How many passes have been issued by your Local Authority, split into Disabled and Old Age,

2. How many applications have been rejected/accepted in the past year,

3. How much has the scheme cost the Local Authority, please split this information by operator if possible,

4. What, if any, agreements does the Authority have with other counties/authorities in relation to using passes on their services, such as trams, rail and other modes of transportation

2. 31,325 cards have been produced in the last year, this includes new, renewal and replacement for lost/stolen passes. We don’t keep records of how many applications have been rejected.

3. £5,789,290.00 was the total operator reimbursement and Central government provides funding to TCAs for the English National Concessionary Travel Scheme

4. LCC has no agreements in place with other Local Authorities. The national scheme rules apply on eligible local bus services only, under the Travel Concessions Order. The national bus concession in England is available at any time on a Saturday, Sunday, or bank holiday, and from 9.30am to 11pm on any other day.
