Public Rights of Way data - Find a freedom of information request

1. I would like to inquire about obtaining Public Rights of Way data for the Lincolnshire council. The link that is currently on the website directs me to a blog with some out of data attached.

Ideally this would be in a Shapefile format (SHP)

Can you please let me know if this data is available for the area?

I can confirm that the information requested is held by Lincolnshire County Council. I have detailed below the information that is being released to you.

Please find attached a digital map layer file containing the public rights of way for in the administrative County of Lincolnshire. The map layer file is in the format of a shapefile, as requested.

It is important that the map layer file and its associated component files (also attached) are saved to the same location otherwise it will not be possible to open the map layer file in your geographical information system (GIS) or map application. The attached technical information should be read thoroughly before attempting to import or view the map layer file in your GIS or map application.

Please note that Lincolnshire County Council's Definitive Map and Statement and any subsequent legal orders form the legal record of public rights of way. The attached dataset was taken from the "working copy" map on 24 November 2023. It is for information only and is an interpretation of the Definitive Map and associated documents. It does not form part of the legal record itself. Therefore, the dataset should not be relied upon for determining the position, status, width or any other matters relating to any public rights of way shown in it. For legal purposes the dataset does not displace the legal record, and recipients should be aware that changes may have been made to the legal record that are not yet included in the dataset and it will not include any changes which might subsequently be made to the "working copy" map or the legal record.

The County Council also cannot guarantee that the dataset is free from errors. By using the dataset, you are acknowledging and accepting the risks arising from any errors that might exist in the dataset. Attempting to view the dataset with detail greater than a scale of 1:10,000 may produce an inaccurate rendering of the route of a public right of way. The dataset is licenced on the terms outlined in the Open Government Licence v3.0. This dataset is provided for use by you or your organisation.

It should not be passed on to any individuals or organisations without prior agreement of Lincolnshire County Council.
