Incredible Years Toddler (1 to 3 years) - starting 6 January

This 13-week parenting programme an evidence-based programme which focuses on strengthening parenting skills and building a positive relationship with your child. For Parents with children aged 1 to 3 years children. Please note that children are unable to attend, this is a parent only course.

OWL Babies under 1s 

Babies explore their environment through their senses which are vital for early brain development. These sessions will include discussions around baby’s brain development, the benefits of being outside, sensory play activities, singing and sharing books.

Tuesdays

Learning Together Toddlers 1 to 5 years - starting 7 January

The session features a ‘Talk Time’ to show how the little things parents do make a big difference to their children’s learning, together with a range of fun play activities, songs, and stories.

Early talkers 0 to 5 years - at Heckington Children's Centre, NG34 9RX

This session will support children to become confident communicators through songs, rhymes, exploring and sharing books.

This session offers a range of fun activities to support children developing their independence and social skills through play.

Breast start from pregnancy and breastfeeding

Come and join us in a relaxed, friendly environment, chat and meet other breastfeeding mums and get some support and advice. A member of the health visiting team supports the group.

Little Explorers 0 to 5 years - at Heckington Children's Centre

A sensory play session encouraging children to explore a range of messy play activities such as water, sand, crafts, gloop and play dough.

The Early Days 

A programme to support families and their new babies in a relaxed and friendly environment.  Opportunities to meet other new parents, take part in activities such as singing, sharing books and provide mini taster activities, sharing with you what might be on offer in your local Children’s Centre.

Solihull Antenatal Education Programme, group for parents - starts 15 January

Family Hubs - Universal Antenatal programme to support emotional health and wellbeing in the delivery of Solihull Approach groups for parents, with a focus on relationships and nurturing connected, sensitive and responsive interactions. If you are 28 weeks pregnant or over and would like to attend this funded programme, please register using the link below:

For children with disabilities with complex health needs in their early years up until they transition into statutory full-time education.

Paediatric First Aid Course - 6 February only

This course is ideal for anyone who cares for infants and children, such as parents, parents to be, guardians, grandparents or those who have an involvement with infants and children and want to learn key paediatric first aid skills. You will learn the roles and responsibilities of the emergency paediatric first aider and will be equipped with the skills needed to deal with a range of paediatric first aid situations, such as performing CPR and controlling external bleeding. Having a good understanding of emergency paediatric first aid is incredibly important for the safety of children and your own peace of mind. This session shares top tips from introducing solids, oral health, accident prevention and age-appropriate development.  It’s a great opportunity to meet new families and find out what local services are available for your family.

Baby Massage - starting 9 January for six weeks

This five-week course offers a chance for you and your baby to spend precious time bonding through massage whilst meeting other parents with babies to form friendships.

Drop into any children’s centre to access the range of borrow bags. These include sensory bags, stories bags, treasure baskets and much more.


Free online sessions for parents and carer
