Number of young people with special education needs in Lincolnshire - Find a freedom of information request

1. Would like to know the number of young people with special education needs in Lincolnshire that the council is responsible for (between the ages of 16 and 19 years of age).

2. Would like to know the number of SEN young people (who the council is responsible for) who have had their EHC plans removed (ceased to maintain) when they reached the age of 19 and/or came to the end of their formal school education.

Would like the figures for the years from 2018 to 2023.

1. 1,408 persons aged 16-19 with an EHC Plan.

(a) – below is a table of closure for those aged 19 at the time of closure, regardless of reason, by year.

(b) – below is a table of closures where the closure reason was recorded as ‘Left Education’, regardless of age, by year.

Please note that 2023 figures are year-to-date.
