Pop in and play 0 to 5 years with siblings up to 8 years

An opportunity for babies and children to pop in with their parents and carers to use the resources in the early years room in the centre. All we ask is that families clean and tidy the resources after use and the space is a safe and happy environment for all to enjoy.

The Early Days

A programme to support families and their new babies in a relaxed and friendly environment.  Opportunities to meet other new parents, take part in activities such as singing, sharing books and provide mini taster activities, sharing with you what might be on offer in your local Children’s Centre.

Speech and Language drop in

Drop-in for parents and carers to chat with a speech and language assistant where they may have concerns about their child’s speech and language development.

Holiday Fun 0 to 5 years with siblings up to 8 years welcome, all things Autumn

A fun filled and exciting session for families to enjoy where they will be joining in activities, games and singing songs, come along and have some fun.

The Incredible Years Baby, 0 to 12 months

This parenting programme covers the child’s first 12 months of life. It is an evidence-based programme which focuses on strengthening parenting skills and building a positive relationship with your baby. 
It is recommended to gain the most from the course content that you sign up when your child is aged between 0-6 months old.
This course will be up to 10 weeks, depending on the needs of the group. To book onto this course email birchwoodcc@lincolnshire.gov.uk.

Thursdays

Incredible Years Toddler, 1 to 3 years

This 13-week parenting programme is an evidence-based programme which focuses on strengthening parenting skills and building a positive relationship with your child. For Parents with children aged 1-3 years. Please note that children are unable to attend, this is a parent only course. To book onto this course email birchwoodcc@lincolnshire.gov.uk.

Top Tips for babies 3 to 4 months - 24 October, 28 November and 19 December at Birchwood Children's Centre, LN6 0JE

This session shares top tips from introducing solids, oral health, accident prevention and age-appropriate development.  It’s a great opportunity to meet new families and find out what local services are available for your family.

Breast start from pregnancy and breastfeeding

Come and join us in a relaxed, friendly environment, chat and meet other breastfeeding mums and get some support and advice. A member of the health visiting team supports the group.

A sensory play session encouraging children to explore a range of messy play activities such as water, sand, crafts, gloop and play dough.

Drop into any children’s centre to access the range of borrow bags.  These include sensory bags, stories bags, treasure baskets and much more.


Free online sessions for parents and carer

Connect with other parents and carers via Zoom and learn about topics relevant to families and children aged 0 to 5. Share ideas in how to support children’s early education and each other. Visit the Family Corner website.
