The County Council has decided to make an order for Byways Open to All Traffic as the documentary evidence indicates public vehicular rights.

A number of objections to the Order were submitted. The Order has been submitted. The County Council has requested that the bridleway be upgraded to a restricted byway only and the existing restricted byway is removed from the Order following recent case law. The Order was dealt with through the written representation process. The Secretary of State decided on 10 August 2010 to modify the Order by only upgrading the bridleway to a restricted byway.
