This is an information request relating to the number of road closures.

Please include the following information for the 2020/21, 2021/22 and 2022/23 financial years:

1) The number of roads within the council's remit which have been closed permanently for through traffic

2) A list of the roads which have been closed permanently for through traffic

3) If possible, for each road closure please provide a reason for the closure

Decision

1. Two.

2. Louth Cornmarket and Coney Hill layby, Swineshead.

3. Cornmarket has been closed under an experimental traffic regulation order to determine the effect of restricting traffic in terms of improvements for pedestrians and the provision of local amenities.

Coney Hill layby has been closed as part of a community project to reduce fly tipping here and to provide an amenity area.
