Request

1. How much has been spent in a year on Lincolnshire Roads and how has that been divided?

2. Also how many reports pa received?

If you had 1,000 reports next week, would we get more of the budget?

3. How much extra are you receiving from the recently announce extra road improvement cash please and where do you plan to use it?

Decision

1. Last financial year Lincolnshire County Council (LCC) spent around £62m on highways maintenance and minor schemes, excluding major projects such as Grantham Southern Relief Road, and this is divided into asset groups to match our Asset Management Strategy which can be found on the website. This strategy and plan outline how much each asset group receives and can be found here: https://www.lincolnshire.gov.uk/directory-record/61684/highwaysinfrastructure-asset-management-strategy

2. on average LCC receive around 750 public enquiries per week, so 39000 in a year. This volume doesn't influence the budget settlement from central government, although public enquiries are one of the factors that LCC assess when deciding how to prioritise allocation of maintenance funds.

3. If this question relates to the additional pothole funds supplied by central government, Lincolnshire County Council received £6.88m and this will be spent on a range of treatments and repairs to prevent the occurrence of potholes as well repairing those which are formed. This includes longer term repairs, surface dressing, micro surfacing as well as the suite of pothole repair techniques.
