Surface water drain at the eastern side of small spur of Lodge Lane, Upton. - Find a freedom of information request

Request

1. I would like to know who and when the surface water drain was installed on the eastern side of small spur of Lodge Lane, Upton, DN21 5NW all of the other surface water drains along this part of Lodge Lane are on the west side installed by the Environment Agency many years ago, they are fed into a land drain which lies behind Lodge Farm to join a small tributary of the River Till.

2. Please can you confirm why when the line of the drain run is on the western side of the lane it moves over to the east and then presumably moves back again?

Decision

I can confirm that the information requested is held by Lincolnshire County Council. I have detailed below the information that is being released to you.

From the description you have provided ‘the small spur’ is taken to mean the short length of road that leads north off Lodge Lane towards Lodge Farm.

Assuming this is the area in question records held by Lincolnshire County Council show a highways surface water system, and associated gullies, running along this stretch of road, however this is shown to be on the western side of the road.

Unfortunately, no records are held by LCC of Environment Agency assets or any assets that may have been created by riparian landowners.

If there is a particular issue leading to concerns of potential flood risk then please contact the Floods and Water team at FloodRisk@lincolnshire.gov.uk
