We have been having contamination issues for a number of years. After a great deal of investigation and research. I have found that in 1971 plans/approval were requested for overflow outlets for the sewage pumps in Quadring, not the sewage treatment plants. I have checked modern maps, Lincs Archive, Spalding library and Anglian water nothing is showing. I suspect that as the villages of Gosberton and Quadring are both on the same treatment works, that similar works were carried out and proposed for Gosberton. The drainage at the end down Belchmire, (opposite number 44 - 46 on the opposite side) was all filled in a few years ago.
1. I would like to request any old maps (Showing old pipes) you have of the road down Belchmire Lane, Whitehall and Godfrey Avenue Gosberton, Gosberton High Street, and Park hall Gosberton ( known as the old hall previously).
I wonder if there was a pipe that no one knew about that was the sewage pump Belchmire Lane overflow outlet.
2. Please could you check your systems, to see if you have any road pipe maps from the 1960 to 1975, to see where these sewage pumps overflow outlets went in Gosberton. The Belchmire sewage pump is just up Belchmire lane, near the council rented out garages - Decision

Lincolnshire County Council (LCC) has checked any data it has for the areas mentioned however it was unable to find much information relating to the request. Please see attached a plan showing LCC’s drainage records for Belchmire Lane area along with some older plans for Godfrey Avenue.
Deeds LCC has for this location have been checked however there is nothing relating to the pipes you are referring to.
South Holland District Council may have past records which you may wish to check with them. It was the rural and urban district council’s that used to be responsible for water and sewage pre-1974 but this responsibility was passed to the district councils before the advent of Anglian Water
