Complaints reported for used car dealerships - Find a freedom of information request

For each of the last 3 reporting years:

1.The number of complaints reported for used car dealerships, broken down by:

a) reporting year;

b) name of dealership;

c) number of notifications recorded;

d) number of referrals recorded.

Anticipating that there may be reservations about identifying the individual businesses, I have taken the time to establish that there is plenty of precedent for doing so in relation to similar requests, to cite just 3 examples I found:

The table below provides the number of complaints over the last three financial years where the product complained about relates to ‘used car’.

The total number of complaints for each year is provided, as is a breakdown of those classified as a referral or a notification, for those received via the Citizen’s Advice Consumer (CAC) Helpline.

Note – not every complaint is received via the CAC Helpline.

The name of the dealership is not included. The information requested under this part of the  question relates to car traders in breach of legislation that Lincolnshire Trading Standards is  responsible for enforcing. 

The information you have requested is exempt from disclosure under section 31(1)(g) of the  Freedom of Information Act.
