Out of cohort school place applications - Find a freedom of information request

here was a panel meeting on 1st March to decide on which out of cohort school place applications to approve and which to decline.

1. May I ask if the panel looked at all types of out of cohort admission requests on 1st March? Or only children with 1 April - 31 Aug birthdays?

2. Can I also ask of the two that were approved for voluntary controlled schools, what were the reasons for approving these requests? There were presumably specific reasons that set these two cases apart from all the rest? And were these two children summer born children? 
 

I can confirm that the information requested is held by Lincolnshire County Council. I have detailed below the information that is being released to you.

1. All on time applications made for out of cohort admission were considered on 1st March. There was no requirement for these children to be summer born.

2. For the two cases approved, it was felt that it was in these children's best interests to be educated outside of cohort. There was no prerequisite requirement.
