1. I would like to know the required format for an invoice sent by a childcare provider to a parent.

Please let me know how the following information should be displayed: government funding, voluntary contributions, extras and meals.

The local authority requires childcare providers delivering the Early Years Entitlements (EYE), to ensure the following:

• Invoices and receipts should be clear, transparent and itemised allowing parents to see that they have received their child's free entitlement completely free of charge and understand fees paid for additional hours or services.

• Invoices and receipts should include the provider's full details so that they can be identified as coming from a specific provider.

• Childcare providers use their own systems to produce invoices, therefore the format varies but they must meet the requirements above.
