If a young person is transferred to Lincolnshire via the NTS and their age is not disputed they are accommodated under S20 of the Children Act 1989, if a young person transfers and their age is disrupted a age assessment is carried out. Age assessments are carried out for spontaneous arrivals, and they are only accommodated under S.20 if the age assessment concludes they are a child.
