Please can you provide any information held regarding flooding under railway bridge on Thistleton Lane, South Witham

Decision

The Flood and Water Manager has confirmed that their team has nothing logged that has specifically been raised through the flood risk team. No Section 19 investigations have been undertaken for this location.

The Traffic and Minor Works Programme Leader has confirmed that a scheme to excavate the footway and carriageway to expose the existing soakaway and then replace it with a new terram wrapped soakaway, is currently programmed for 26/9 to 7/10/22 under a road closure. The works will include the installation of 2 new gulleys, 1 new catch-pit, and 6m of new pipework (depending on condition of existing), followed by reconnection of all the pipework and new drainage facilities as necessary and reinstatement of excavated areas.

The Local Highways Manager has provided the site history report (attached) showing all reports received through the Customer Service Centre or Fix-my-street.
