The Active Travel Survey - Find a freedom of information request

Request

1. The specific content of the 'Survey' and 'Engagement'. The online survey says 'closed' and i cannot see it. I cannot find any details of the engagement.

a) I wish to see how the scheme was described

b) what was asked

c) what facility there was to comment or qualify in free text.

2. The exact basis of the claimed '60%' or now, 'over 350 people' supporting the scheme.

a) I wish to see whether people were answering a narrow survey or engagement question

b) were able to offer qualified responses. [I recall having some difficulty in submitting my own free text 'some good, some bad' response]

3. What exactly are LCC now doing in apparently collecting 'feedback' and to what purpose? Is this a 'survey'?; a vote? a consultation? There must surely be an email or memo etc.

Decision

I can confirm that the information requested is held by Lincolnshire County Council. I have detailed below the information that is being released to you.

The first part of the questionnaire was generic for each of the proposed Active Travel schemes.

The second part was specific to the Louth scheme.

The questions from the survey are in the attached PDF document.

There was a free text question as a part of the survey.

Question 3.3 of the survey asked "Are you supportive or unsupportive of the proposed scheme?"

The responses were:

Strongly Supportive - 264

Supportive - 66

Neither supportive or unsupportive - 42

Unsupportive - 43

Strongly unsupportive - 99

So, of the 514 responses 64.20233% were either strongly supportive or supportive and just 27.6 were unsupportive or strongly unsupportive.

A total of 401 people successfully submitted free text responses to the survey. Residents can still submit their feedback on the scheme to activetravel@lincolnshire.gov.uk
