In developing a pilot project for Property Flood Resilience (PFR) in Lincolnshire, Lincolnshire County Council Flood Risk team worked closely with the Lincolnshire Resilience Forum (Emergency Planning) and residents for a sample of properties which were identified as being flooded twice or more and therefore eligible for funding.
Phase 1 of the pilot identified a total of 25 properties that were eligible which comprised an initial 10 properties to run the pilot and 15 properties on a reserve list. Of those who applied 4 properties have now been fitted with PFR measures as part of the Phase 1 trial.
From the 3 properties that received funding from the scheme, one of these properties was private rented and the other two properties were owner occupied.
This project has not concluded however, and Phase 2 of the project has now commenced taking learning from the Phase 1 trial. This involves 35 properties signed up for potential PFR measures, which are currently at the stage of surveys and assessments for suitability. No measures have as yet been incorporated as part of Phase 2 and therefore no funding, as yet, allocated.
