Please could I ask that you provide me the following information, given that this route was a night detour from the A1
The location is near Little Ponton and Stroxton, Grantham on the B1174.
1. The details of last repair and the quality inspection report following up the repair (an ineffective repair had been applied).
2. When was the route checked ahead of the detour - the pothole in question was on unlit road in the main part of the carriageway - not the edge or side?
3. Details of logged issues around the pothole and the inspection reports logged on your system prior to the incident and my subsequent claim.
4. The standard of repair instruction specification on your contractor.
5. Your highways engineer statement on how long such repairs should last.
6. Had you put up warning signs, if not why not? - Decision

1. Please see the attached site history report.
2. The previous routine inspection before then as per the site history report.
3. Please see the attached site history report.
4. Please see the attached site history report.
5. Lincolnshire County Council (LCC) would a saw-cut repair to last 12 months as a minimum, with a temporary repair as an infill only (with HAPAS approved material) lasting three to six months.
6. LCC wouldn't as standard put up warning signs, the response times are to make any actionable defects safe and there isn't a process in place for pre-warning signs ahead of repairs.
