Decision

I can confirm that the information requested is held by Lincolnshire County Council. I have detailed below the information that is being released to you.

1. PAC UK provides counselling support to birth parents during and following adoption and is contracted to do so by LCC.

2. There is no government funding allocated to the adoption team per annum. The budget for the adoption team is provided through the local authority.

Government funding is provided to adoptive families through the Adoption Support Fund and this year £820,000 was provided to fund therapeutic packages for 320 adoptive and SGO families and children, who were eligible to apply to the fund.

3. The amount of funding for post adoption counselling for birth parents through the PAC UK contract was £40,000, but this was funded by the LCC adoption budget, and not through the adoption support fund.
