Amount Spent on Training for the Fire and Rescue Services - Find a freedom of information request

I would like to ascertain the amount spent on training and the number of staff trained each year for the Fire and Rescue Services for the years between 2018 and 2022.

I do not need the recruitment cost however all the costs related to competence, compliance and other such training would be needed. Further, if an new employees have a cost of training then that would also be needed. Please include all details of commercial and external training.

• Fire Safety Training – Includes internal and external training for all our Fire safety inspectors, Crew and Watch Managers, Fire Investigation level 2 Officers.
• First Aid / Trauma Training - General internal first aid training. Costs will increase from years 2021 – 24 as Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue roll out the external trauma course to all Firefighters – Watch Managers. (approx. £250k).
• Health and Safety Training – External NEBOSH courses for certain roles.
• WT Recruit courses – Internal training for WT recruits (predominantly wages).
• On-call Recruit courses – Internal training for On-call recruits (predominantly wages).
• Fire Service College and external courses – All external courses.
• Fire Science training – Materials and equipment for internal courses.
• BA Training – Internal courses (predominantly wages).
• RTC Training – Internal courses (predominately cost of environmentally clean scrap cars).
• WORKFORCE & PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT – Mostly external courses that include Water rescue, some instructor courses, external command courses and some soft management skills.
• COMMAND TRAINING – Internal courses (predominantly wages).
• Fire Fighters Recruitment – Recruitment material for WT & On-call.
• CPF AND ASSESSMENTS – re-imbursement for IFE exams.
• Driver Training – External LGV initial training and internal assessments (predominantly wages).
• Training Centre Other Costs – Training costs associated with all the above courses and running of the training centre.
• Training staff qualifications – External Instructor qualifications
• Approx. 500 operational staff
• Approx. 120 non ops staff
