Costs of the recycling service - Find a freedom of information request

In relation to the costs of the recycling service. In particularly i seek information as follows:

1. How much does the council pay to deposit the recycling at both Mid UK and Palm Paper?

2. How much is the council charged/fined for the non-recyclable waste that is put in the green lidded bins?

I can confirm that the information requested is held by Lincolnshire County Council. I have detailed below the information that is being released to you.

1. From Mar 2021 to Feb 2022 the Council was charged £3,558,297 to dispose of the recycling for the whole of Lincolnshire. The Council does not pay Palm Paper to deposit recycling.

2. For non-recyclable material the Council is charged the average price for RDF (Refuse Derived Fuel) from the gate fee price which is published on Let’s recycle website https://www.letsrecycle.com/

For Feb 2022 that charge was £103 per tonne
