Residential Special School and Children's Residential Home Placements for Children - Find a freedom of information request

Request

Under the Freedom of Information Act, I would like to request the following information regarding Residential Special School and Children's Residential Home placements for children (under 18) with Learning Disabilities and/or Autism as their Special Educational Need (SEN).

1. Please provide the total number of placements funded by the Local Authority during the year for children (under 18) with a Learning Disability as their primary SEN in a Residential Special School.

2. Please provide the total number of new placements funded by the Local Authority for children (under 18) with a Learning Disability as their primary SEN in a Residential Special School.

3. Please provide the total number of placements funded by the Local Authority during the year for children (under 18) with Autism as their primary SEN in a Residential Special School.

4. Please provide the total number of new placements funded by the Local Authority for children (under 18) with Autism as their primary SEN in a Residential Special School.

5. Please provide the total number of placements funded by the Local Authority during the year for children (under 18) in a Residential Special School with a Learning Disability and/or Autism, that are placed:

a. In area and;

b. Out of area.

6. Please provide the number of children (under 18) currently funded by the Local Authority, with a Learning Disability and/or Autism, in a Residential Special School.

Decision

1. Lincolnshire County Council funded three placements in Independent / Non-Maintained (Special) School residential provision during the current academic year (1 September 2021 to date) with Learning Disability as the primary SEN (excluding ASD).

2. Lincolnshire County Council funded three new placements in Independent / Non-Maintained (Special) School residential provision during the current academic year (1 September 2021 to date) with Learning Disability as the primary SEN (excluding ASD).

3. Lincolnshire County Council funded 21 placements in Independent / Non-Maintained (Special) School residential provision during the current academic year (1 September 2021 to date) for pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) as the primary SEN.

4. Lincolnshire County Council funded one new placement in Independent / Non-Maintained (Special) School residential provision during the current academic year (placed since 1 September 2021 to date) for pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) as the primary SEN.

5. 

a. Lincolnshire County Council funded six placements in Independent / Non-Maintained (Special) School residential provision during the current academic year (1 September 2021 to date) for pupils with Learning Disability and/or Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) as the primary SEN within the county of Lincolnshire.

b. Lincolnshire County Council funded 18 placements in Independent/ Non-Maintained (Special) School residential provision during the current academic year (1 September 2021 to date) for pupils with Learning Disability and/or Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) as the primary SEN outside the county of Lincolnshire.

6. Lincolnshire County Council currently funds 24 placements in Independent / Non-Maintained (Special) School residential provision during the current academic year (1 September 2021 to date) for pupils with Learning Disability and/or Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) as the primary SEN.
