Vehicle Height - Recycling Centres - Find a freedom of information request

1.I am trying to find out why the decision was made,

2.and who made this decision, to limit the height of vehicles entering the recycling centres.

You are presuming that everyone drives a vehicle below 6'6".

We pay our taxes and now cannot use these facilities.

1. The decision was made to limit the volume of material which can be delivered by residents with large vehicles, as larger volumes obviously need longer to unload. Most Lincolnshire's residents own family cars, and it was felt that it would be fairer to have a 2m height restriction.

2. The decision was made by the Head of Waste following discussions with site operators and waste managers.
