Roadworks and Maintenance - A46 Roundabout Dunholme/Welton - Find a freedom of information request

I am writing to you on behalf of Apple Maps with an inquiry into possible roadwork construction.

We are currently in the process of map maintenance, therefore we must keep our maps continually updated in relation to highway or roadwork construction in order to provide our users with real time information.

The aforementioned inquiry relates to possible maintenance around A46 roundabout by Dunholme/Welton.

1.It looks like the project is complete, is this correct? The given coordinates are 53.2913650, -0.4890295.

2.If available, we would appreciate any information on the following:

a).Current phase of the works

b). Are there any highways or roads closed as a result of construction?

c).Are there any closures planned?

d).What is the final date of completion?

1. The project was completed (given contractual completion) on 04/06/21.

2a. All phases of the works are complete, however if Lincolnshire County Council find there are defects within the works following End Product Testing, then further works will be required at the expense of the Contractor.

2b. The works included stopping up (permanently closing) the end of Lincoln Road at its junction with the A46, and constructing a new alignment for Lincoln Road across purchased land to meet with the new roundabout.

2c. There are no further permanent closures planned for the road network however, temporary closures may be required to correct any defects that may arise.

2d. The project has been contractually completed on 04/06/21, however it is currently in its maintenance/defects period for one year following this date, and any defects that arise during this period will have to be corrected by the Contractor in a set period of time.
