Doomsday Book - Count of Alan - Find a freedom of information request

Request

Hello, In the Doomsday book it says that Robert De Mousters or Count of Alan (Or it is the same person) He was made a Lord in 1086 and was given quite a substantial amount of land as a reward for helping William the Conqueror in the battle of 1066. It says some areas around Lincolnshire, Yorkshire.

1. Would you at Lincolnshire county council have this information in your archives?

2. If so, would the land be still in the name of Robert De Mousters or his direct line descendants?

3. I do know as well that the lands he was given did go down through 7 generations, I am curious as to what happened after this, where did they all go?

4. As it was a lot of land given it surely would not of all been sold off? Are there some areas left in Lincolnshire and Yorkshire that are not registered with HM land registry? Or under the name Mousters.

5. Lastly, have you ever had any people come forward using the Doomsday book to claim land back from their ancestors?
