Council Owned Vehicles - Emissions - Find a freedom of information request

1.Please provide details of the number of vehicles owned or leased by LCC to include:

a. Fuel Type (petrol, diesel, electric, hybrid)

b. Engine Size

c. Number of vehicles classed as Low emission vehicles or zero emissions.

2.The policy/plan for vehicles used by LCC to reduce emissions

1. Contract Hire Cars only, current at 15 June 2021 - by fuel type (172 diesels, 98 hybrids including 5 Plug in hybrids and 94 petrol cars)

Ultra Low Emission Vehicles (ULEV) are categorised as having CO2 of lower than 75g - there are 5. Currently LCC owns 418 vehicles and are unable to provide fuel type or engine size.

2. The council sets the CO2 emissions maximum on the Contract Car Hire scheme at a maximum of 120g/km. The council pays a larger contribution towards the cost of lower emission vehicles.
