Consultation Process for Proposed One Way System, Grantham - Find a freedom of information request

Details of the consultation process related to the proposed 1-way system in Grantham town centre-specifically who was consulted, when and how for example were notices erected on the street. Also a summary of the results of the consultation.

The public engagement on the Grantham Active Travel Project was promoted through the County Council's website. The opportunity to give feedback on the scheme was promoted through the Council's website and social media sites. The scheme was also covered in the local press including the Grantham Journal, Grantham Matters, The Lincolnshire Echo and The Lincolnite.

There were 411 responses to the public engagement on the Grantham Active Travel proposals. Of the responses 48% were supportive of the scheme and 44% were unsupportive - the rest being neutral. As a result of the various comments and suggestions received the proposed scheme was altered to take account of the views on the scheme.
