Please see the following statements from Highways and Corporate Property services regarding the above response:

Highways:

Lincolnshire County Council highways employees do not carry out weed treatment. Our weed treatment is carried out through our highways term contract. The areas treated are all hard surfaces within the highway such as footways, cycle tracks, kerb channels and areas of block paved carriageways. Our specification states that our Contractor must use herbicides that comply with all current legislation and that it must be applied by a controlled droplet application with the equipment used ensuring drift does not occur during the process.
