NB. The period between Q3 2019/20 and Q2 2020/21 was extremely unusual for Lincolnshire. 20 week timescales are typically around 80 - 90% (currently 86%) but throughout the period identified there was a backlog of assessments due to limited availability of Educational Psychologists. This situation is now resolved.

56* Notes
1 Total Number of CYP receiving short breaks: We do not record the data in the way it is being requested and therefore the total figures could include one C/YP accessing more than one option. As this data is not readily available, it would require more time than the 18 hours permitted for FOI completion to locate and collate. Please also note that the data only applies to 0-18 year olds. In addition, on average, there are 100 C/YP in receipt of direct payments, all of whom for which the support within their direct payment plan will provide some element of short break. These are not included in the total figures.
2 Number of C/YP receiving care or activities away from home and Number of C/YP receiving day care away from home: We report these as Targeted Positive Activities and we do not record whether these are for full or part days. They include Community Clubs, Youth Clubs and Holiday Clubs. Due to the way we asked the providers to report, the numbers reflect the number of C/YP registered to attend sessions. Some C/YP attend both Community Club and Youth Club sessions, so there may be some duplication in numbers.
3 Residential Breaks (long-term): C/YP do access longer-term residential breaks but these are usually still recorded in our data as overnight short breaks. Packages can be from 12 nights per year up to a maximum of 74 nights spread across the year and families can choose how they use these over the course of the year. Depending on the nature of their care plan, they will have either a section 17 status or section 20 short break status. We have combined the 2 figures to give the total number of C/YP accessing both overnight short breaks and longer-term breaks but we can split into Section 17 or Section 20, if needed. N.B. One of the C/YP detailed in this column also receives overnight stays.
4 Additional columns added: Domiciliary Care Packages: All domiciliary care packages for C/YP who have additional needs will have an element of short break within them. The C/YP may be accessing our commissioned services, in-house services, direct payments or overnight short breaks within their care package. We do not record the data on how these are broken down. *The total numbers also include Spot purchase domiciliary care/social inclusion packages for Children with Disabilities in each financial year: 17 in 2019/20 and 23 to date in 2020/21.
