School Transport - Covid-19 Impact - Find a freedom of information request

The request is regarding school transport:

1.In the event of a school closing short term due to Covid 19, will the contract still be paid?

2.Or is this considered termination of contract?

3.If a percentage is to be paid daily, what will that be?

1. The contract will still be paid at the rate outlined in Question 3

2. No, this wouldn't typically result in a termination of the contract

3. If the operator has signed the Covid-19 Appendix A declaration and has received no additional support from the Government to offset operating costs and/or lost income, then the rate will be paid at 100% for the first 2 days of closure, followed by 85% for the subsequent days. For operators that cannot or do not wish to sign up to this conditional offer then payments for service disruption will be made at the rate stipulated within the applicable Terms and Conditions for the contract. In the majority of cases this would see 100% paid for the first 2 days, and then 50% for subsequent days.
