1. The total number of works of art owned by Lincolnshire County Council is calculated to be 7638 (Limited to Museum and Archive collections (legally owned by LCC) and defining work of art as per "an object made by an artist of great skill, especially a painting, drawing, or statue").
2. Lincolnshire County Council's Heritage Service does not routinely value its collections, nor does it engage valuers to provide this information.
For insurance purposes only the Council may provide a value for collection items - where it is known or is internally estimated, however this is not held for every item and therefore an exact answer to the information you have requested is not held by Lincolnshire County Council.
In terms of available information, the total sum of collection items which are owned/ managed as accessioned items by Lincolnshire County Council's Heritage Service are insured to a value of £33m (NB this includes artworks and wider collections).
3. The number of works currently on display is calculated to be 197 (Limited to items captured in response to Question one. And display areas being defined as public spaces in our core sites plus loans out to external venues for display purposes.)

Exclusions include: Staffing and programme costs associated with collections, front of house and exhibitions teams enabling access of collections via public programme and associated operational building costs.
