Riseholme Roundabout Works Impact - Find a freedom of information request

Request

Lincolnshire County Council recently carried out works to the Riseholme Roundabout on the edge of Lincoln, which included widening the Eastern spur from three lanes to five lanes.

This spur is also a recognised and signposted pedestrian and cycle route which pedestrians and cyclists have to cross.

1. Could I please request copies of any impact statements, safety studies or any other documents relating to the impact on pedestrians and cyclists of the widening of this spur?

Decision

1. Although the main purpose of the scheme was to improve the traffic capacity at the roundabout, the safety of all users has been considered during the design stage. A Stage 2 road safety audit has been undertaken and their recommendations accepted and incorporated to the design. However, no specific problems relating to pedestrians and cyclists were identified.
