Highway Improvements Stamford - Find a freedom of information request

1. I am writing to ask if any advisory compulsory purchase orders have been sent to any residents who live bordering Sidney Farm lane, in Stamford.

Such orders or issued letters would be in regard to the widening of Sidney Farm lane with a view to accommodating the increased traffic flow that would come about owing to the development of Stamford North or in relation to the further development of Stamford East site.

1. The County Council has no plans for the widening of Sidney Farm Lane and has to date not been requested by any third party to investigate the possibility of any highway improvements.

Whilst Compulsory Purchase Orders are an option available to the Council they are a last resort. Should any plans to carry out highway improvements be formulated that affects a third party's land then the Council will inform the respective landowner and seek to negotiate a settlement.
