1. Have LCC paid for repairs reference 353382 and 362230?
2. What contract management of oversight is completed to ensure repairs are completed?
3. What further action will be taken to ensure issues recorded as “fixed” are completed

1. Enquiry 353382 was initially subject to a job to make safe, which was marked as completed as a cone was left on site. This instruction being completed is what led to the enquiry being updated as fixed. Since then, a follow-up job has been issued against the same enquiry and completed, which has led to a permanent repair and the gang have provided photographic evidence of this.
Enquiry 362230 was again subject to a job to make safe, completion of which generated the "fixed" response. This site is subject to a follow-up permanent repair and so is not considered the final response, unfortunately the use of two jobs is confusing. Our gangs are currently paid for up-front for labour and plant, so they receive zero-value
instructions and thus aren't really paid for on a job-by-job basis.2. Audits are completed on a random selection of jobs by the contract management teams. If repairs aren't completed to specification they are raised as defects requiring remedial action. In addition, Local Highways Officers will regularly inspect their sites on both a routine and adhoc basis and defect any jobs which haven't been completed as instructed.
3. We are changing the way our status updates work within Confirm, along with changing our highways term maintenance contractor as of 1st April and introducing new follow-up statuses for sites which have been made safe rather than permanently repaired. Before and after photos of each fault repair are now mandatory to be able to complete the works.
