1. In Lincolnshire all highways faults are logged as enquiries, this includes potholes. So whilst we cannot report how many potholes have been reported we can provide details on how many enquiries regarding potholes have been reported.
There are also a number of caveats that need to be made due to the manner in which potholes are reported and dealt with. For example, a member of the public may report a number of potholes on one enquiry, whereas someone else may raise an enquiry for each individual pothole. Additionally, a single pothole maybe reported a number of times by different people before it is fixed.
This information is reported on a monthly basis so for this year so far (January to November) there have been 9086 pothole enquires logged.
2. This information is reported on a quarterly basis; at the end of October 2019 there were 1210 pothole enquiries to be resolved.
3. The Breakdown of pothole enquiries logged for 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018 are as follows:
Calendar Year
Number of pothole enquiries
2015
6767
2016
