Telecare Service forms part of a wider contract which includes Community Equipment Services. It is the provider's responsibility to maintain effective stock levels. This responsibility extends to a requirement for NRS to supply quarterly stock information detailing equipment in use, broken or lost and items in store, for equipment funded by the Council to meet an Adult Care need.

6. How many assessors assess and prescribe on behalf of each service (4 mentioned above), please answer for each service?
a. Yes, adult care workers who assess clients as having an Adult Care Need can prescribe equipment to meet this need.
b. For clients funded through Adult Social Care all assessors are employed by Lincolnshire County Council.
7. How many assessments are done per year? Please answer for each service.
a. Information unavailable to provide a response.
b. NRS deliver equipment to clients assessed by Adult Social Care. Timeframes vary dependent on urgency of equipment. If equipment is identified as an urgent installation these are to be installed the next working day. Non-urgent installations are to be completed within 5 working days.
8. Adult Care needs assessment and eligibility determination completed in line with the Care Act. If equipment is identified as a means of meeting an eligible care and support need Adult Social Care can prescribe and fund Telecare equipment.
9. Where Telecare is being provided to meet an eligible care and support need, the entire Telecare system will be funded by LCC.
a. Self-funded clients can order through our contracted provider directly either by Telephone or via their online service.
10. Lincolnshire County Council do not have any showcase facility, either physical space or staff time dedicate, for each service.
11. The population of Lincolnshire are covered by Lincolnshire County Council.
12. The latest report covers December 2019 where there were 4979 clients accessing this service in Lincolnshire.
13. Aside from a small number of off specification equipment all items are analogue. Digital alternatives have been sourced where necessary but form a small part of the items
14. Lincolnshire County Council has a catalogues of equipment which NRS will provide. Specials are issued as required but the numbers of these issued are very low.
15. The community equipment is supplied, maintained, collected, recycled and stored by the Service Provider, NRS.
16. Adult Social Care will complete assessments in hospital and community.
a. At the moment the route of referral is not reported.
17. NRS are a member of the Telecare Services Association (TSA) and regularly attend surgery events which include other service operators. A part of these events covers the challenges presented by the digital shift across the sector. As a commissioner of Telecare Services, Lincolnshire County Council has regular meetings with NRS which covers their preparation for this change. This has included NRS being part of pilot schemes in the UK and testing of digital ready equipment which can be offered across their service. NRS undertake frequent tests, with the support of their monitoring provider, to ensure new equipment purchased is ready ahead of this switch.

a. Adult Care complete reviews of clients which include all elements of the care and support plan for an individual. The outcomes are assessed at this stage but taking into accounts all features rather than individual elements of support for a client.
